Calculators need no personal information

All calculators run in your browser. The measurements you enter are not sent to us or stored on our servers, and nothing about your project is recorded unless you deliberately save it to an account.

Information we collect

• Account details (optional): if you create an account, we store your email address, an optional display name and a securely hashed password. Passwords are never stored in readable form.
• Saved projects and calculations (optional): if you save a calculation, we store the calculator used, the inputs and the result, attached to your account and visible only to you.
• Contact and calculator requests: if you use the contact or request forms, we store the message content, the email address you provide (if any), and a one-way hashed form of your IP address used solely for spam and rate limiting.
• Server logs: like nearly all websites, our hosting may keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

How your information is used

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except where required by law or where a service provider processes it strictly on our behalf (for example, hosting).

• To operate saved projects and calculations — this data is private to your account.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To review calculator requests and prioritise what we build next.
• To protect the site from abuse (rate limiting and spam prevention).

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in if you create an account — the site works without it if you never sign in. Analytics and advertising cookies, if introduced in future, will be described in our Cookie Policy before they are used.

Analytics and advertising

We may add privacy-respecting analytics and, later, display advertising to support the site. If we do, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated first, and any advertising will follow applicable Australian requirements, including consent rules for personalised advertising.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your saved projects and calculations at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account entirely, contact us via the contact page and we will remove your account and associated data.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience planning home projects and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
