Why results can differ from reality

• Workmanship: how a material is laid, spread or applied affects how far it goes.
• Simplified assumptions: our standard door, window and density figures are reasonable defaults, not measurements of your project.

Structural and regulated work

Concrete slabs, footings, retaining walls, fencing, roofing and similar work may be subject to building codes, standards, council requirements and engineering specifications in your state or territory. Our calculators don't determine compliance with any of these — confirm requirements with a qualified professional before you build.
